Broadway hit Rock of Ages coming to Honeywell

Posted: Friday, November 4, 2011

The Honeywell Center will present the musical Rock of Ages on Monday, November 28 at 7 p.m. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical takes place in 1987 on the Sunset Strip and tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small town girl, both in L.A. chasing their dreams of making it big. Their rock and roll romance is told through popular 80s hits of groups including Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, and more. Audience members will be returned to a time when arena rock ruled and big bands with big egos played big music with big hair.  The show is considered to be PG-13.

Tickets are $24, $38, and $54, and may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or visiting
