Blackham announced as Pathfinder first COO

Pathfinder Services is pleased to announce that Carrie Blackham is now the first chief operating officer (COO) for the organization. Blackham joined the organization on March 7, 2018.

Carrie Blackham previously lived in Owensboro, Kentucky and brings nearly 19 years of experience in the field of health and human services to her new role. Before joining Pathfinder Services, Blackham served nonprofit organizations in many sectors. Most recently, she worked in the fields of intellectual and developmental disabilities, community action and anti-poverty programs. Prior to her time in Kentucky, Blackham worked in the fair housing and criminal justice fields in Syracuse, New York. Blackham has experience in grant writing, nonprofit startup, along with organizational, resource and team development. Blackham is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Along with her many years of work experience, Blackham was also actively involved in her community. She volunteered with Civitan, a civic organization that raises funds to support local agencies that support people with developmental disabilities. She was also an active member of the Whitesville Lions Club which supports local disabilities organizations and other causes. Other organizations she was involved with include Owensboro Sister Cities and Regions, Inc., the Minority Economic Development Initiative of Western Kentucky, Inc., IMPACT 100-Owensboro, and Junior League.

Blackham and her husband Rob have relocated to Huntington, where Pathfinder Services is headquartered. They have two sons who attend the University of Louisville.
