Beacon Credit Union recognizes students

Posted: Friday, February 1, 2013

Educating youth is paramount to growth in the community and for that reason Beacon Credit Union has developed the Beacon Academic All-Stars of Huntington County. Any Huntington County student grades first through fifth who has achieved academic success should bring their report card into Beacon Credit Union’s Huntington branch located at 136 North Point Avenue. Each student will receive a gift, a certificate of recognition and they will be recognized at Beacon Credit Union as well as in the Huntington Herald-Press.

“Education is important in Huntington County and this is Beacon’s way of recognizing student achievement, which creates the foundation for celebrating academic success,” said Kevin Willour, CEO of Beacon Credit Union. Parents should bring their child and their report card into the Huntington branch with report cards received in December 2012 through January 2013, prior to Friday, February 15 to be part of the first Beacon Academic All-Star Program.
