Congressman Jim Banks is hosting a Service Academy Day at the Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, where a comprehensive overview of the U.S. Service Academies and the respective admissions processes will be provided. The event will be held on Saturday, October 31.

Students will also have the opportunity to meet with officials from the service academies, Congressman Banks, the Third Congressional District Service Academy Advisory Board and representatives from Congressman Banks office.

Students of all ages and grades, parents, teachers, and guidance counselors are encouraged to learn about the process and the requirements necessary to apply for nominations to the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Attendees may enter the base via the security entrance just east of the airport beginning at 9:30 a.m. To expedite security at the gate all persons attending should RSVP to the office by Friday, October 23. To RSVP, email and provide the driver’s license number, state of issuance, and the first, middle and last name for anyone planning to attend.
