Artists from Creative Abilities Studio to sell work
Posted: Thursday, March 16, 2017
Pathfinder Community Supports would like to encourage the public to attend the ReNEWal Art Show at the First Presbyterian Church to view and purchase pieces of art created by artists served at their Creative Abilities Art Studio.
The ReNEWal Art Show is funded by the AWS Foundation and features several pieces of art created by Creative Abilities artists. The aim of the show is to give members of the Northeast Indiana Artists with Disabilities Community the opportunity to interpret the concept of ReNEWal. The exhibition will be on display at 300 W. Wayne Street in Fort Wayne, through April 23. Hours for the show are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1p.m. Sunday as well as during every First Presbyterian Theater production. Admission is free.
The Creative Abilities Art Studio is a part of the Day Services offered to individuals with disabilities through Pathfinder Community Supports. The studio is open and artists’ goods are also for sale Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2806 Theater Avenue in Huntington. Nearly three quarters of the proceeds from the sale of art goes directly to the artist(s) as income.
