American Legion looking for July 4 sponsors

Posted: Friday, March 7, 2014

The American Legion Post 7 will be in charge of the July 4th celebrations again this year. This marks the seventh year in a row the Legion has done the show. The Legion has set a goal of $12,000 for this year’s event.

The Legion depends on the community to donate funds for this show and are looking to the community for their continuing support for the great celebration of Independence Day. This year the Legion is promoting community support and letting everyone in the community know of the supporters. The banners will be displayed for one week leading up to the July 4th celebration on Jefferson Street in front of Kriegbaum Field letting the community know who the generous supporters are.

The Legion is also offering packages to purchase. A $5,000 donation will name the sponsor of the entire show. For $2,500 the grand finale will be named in honor of the donor’s business. A $1,500 donation will name the business for the grand opening. A $500 donation will award the donor a 3’ x 6’ banner; for a $250 donation a 3’ x 3’ banner will be received and a $100 donation comes with a banner that is 18” x 24.”

If you would like to help with this year’s July 4th celebration, send your check to American Legion Post 7 Fireworks, 1330 Etna Avenue, Huntington, IN 46750. For more information, call the Legion at (260) 356-4809.
