Alexis Arnold earns Master degree from WGU

Posted: Friday, September 21, 2018

Hickory Creek at Huntington administrator Alexis Arnold recently earned a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from Western Governors University.

Arnold completed the degree program on August 15. Arnold says she gained “in-depth knowledge on how to lead people in healthcare, which will allow Hickory Creek at Huntington to provide better healthcare services to the residents we serve.”

Arnold’s capstone project was an action plan to solve the nursing department staffing issues within nursing facilities.

“I was able to spend a significant amount of time interviewing front line staff to find out what they are looking for in an employer and how we can become the employer of choice.”

Hickory Creek at Huntington is a non-profit, charitable skilled nursing facility that offers a short-term and long-term care with an emphasis on adult mental health issues. Hickory Creek of Huntington is located at 1425 Grant Street and can be reached by calling (260) 356-4867.
