Agricultural experts to speak at Breakfast

Agriculture has a significant impact on Huntington County. At the Wednesday, February 13 Foundation Breakfast, local agriculture industry representatives and Huntington University alumni career farmers will give an update on the current state of affairs. The speakers will address the current challenges of the agriculture industry as well as some proactive steps farmers and land owners can take to help plan for the future.

The experts panel includes HU graduate and career farmer Steve Platt; Jodi Heath, co-manager of Helena Chemical’s Huntington plant and Bill Nash, commodity risk manager for Salamonie Mills. Serving as moderator will be retired banker and farmer John Easterday.

The Foundation Breakfast is open to the public. It will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $7.
