Posted: Friday, August 23, 2013

The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce will hold a seminar to address the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) on Friday, September 13. The event will take place at the Habecker Dining Commons on the campus of Huntington University beginning at 7 a.m. and concluding by 9 a.m.

Presenting at the seminar will be Michael J. Nader, attorney at Faegre Baker Daniels whose practice concentrates on all facets of employee benefits. In addition to the traditional aspect, he works closely with employers to develop strategies to eliminate or minimize risk when denying or reducing benefits or responding to government inquiries. Nader spent several years as the manager of compensation of benefits for a large corporation, which provided him with a greater understanding of the day-to-day issues (both internal and external) facing employers and service providers.

Nader speaks extensively on all aspects of ERISA, including health care reform. Recent engagements have included conferences by the American Conference Institute in New York City and Captive Insurance Council in Washington, D.C. and a presentation to the Chamber of Commerce of Chicago, Illinois.

There will be a $10 charge for Chamber members and $15 for non-members. The seminar will include a full breakfast buffet. If you are interested in attending this very special and informative seminar, please reply to or call the Chamber office at (260) 356-5300. Attendees must give a 48-hour notice of cancellation to not be invoiced.
