ABWA to hold luncheon, business meeting

ABWA Forks of The Wabash Chapter will host the program “Strengthening Professional Communication Skills” on Wednesday, May 15. Elizabeth Nulf MacDonald, corporate communication coach and founder of The Verbal Edge, will deliver a fast-paced interactive presentation from 12 Noon to 3 p.m. in the Huntington University Dining Commons.

ABWA will also be holding its Business Associate Event on the evening of Wednesday, May 15 at Huntington University. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a networking time including a coffee bar.

At the luncheon, MacDonald will speak about her passion for equipping others with effective communications skills. Her experience includes TV reporting and anchoring, marketing and communication for Fort Wayne Community Schools and teaching high school English. The cost of the event including lunch is $25. The evening Business Associate Event will feature the coffee bar followed by a dinner buffet and dessert. During this event ABWA will honor the Woman of the Year, Top Ten Candidate, Scholarship Winners and Business Associate of the Year. A new award will be presented, the Vonnie Hoover Spirit Award, a member that passed away in 2012.

Family, friends and co-workers are invited to attend the Business Associate Event. Reservations along with meal choice of Chicken Marsala or Mustard Herb Pork Loin are required by Friday, May 3 and should be sent with a check for $25 to ABWA, P.O. Box 984, Huntington, IN  46750.
