ABWA Forks Chapter offering two scholarships

The Forks of the Wabash Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) is offering two scholarships worth $2,000 funded through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund. The scholarships will be awarded to two deserving area female students.

Each year local chapters of ABWA provide Stephen Bufton Memorial Scholarships (SBMEF) to female students who will be attending accredited U.S. colleges, universities and community/vocational schools. Applicants must be citizens of the United States; residents of Huntington County, entering or attending any college or university in August 2014. The college or university must offer a minimum of a baccalaureate degree and be accredited licensed or state approved. The applicant must have GPA of 3.0 or higher. Eligible women interested in applying for the scholarship should contact Jean Wright, professional development chair for the Forks of the Wabash Chapter. Applications must be completed by Monday, March 31, 2014 at www.sbmef.org. A minimum of three (3) eligible applications are required in order for the scholarship to be awarded. The scholarship recipient(s) will be notified in May, 2014.
