21ALICE Education Summit to be held at VNC
Posted: Friday, October 21, 2016
The 2016 Asset Limited Income Constraint Employed (ALICE) Report from the Indiana Association of United Ways has been released. The report focuses on the challenges of those community members who are employed, but may be one crisis away from a significant change in life.
Many of these family homes are single parent homes or two parent homes working minimum wage or slightly better wages. Many of these individuals have the intellectual capacity for certifications, continuing education and advancement, but may be limited in some ways because of childcare, time, organization, etc.
The United Way of Huntington County invites you to attend its ALICE Education Summit on Friday, October 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Victory Noll Center. The cost is $10 and covers your lunch. The United Way believes the event will be an insightful opportunity as they have included a panel discussion for the day.
Please RSVP to Diane Brumbaugh at email@example.com or by calling the office at (260) 356-6160 by October 21 to reserve your seat. The United Way thanks everyone for their commitment and work in helping make Huntington County the best place to live, work and play.
