1776 Sporting Club open for business

Posted: Friday, December 17, 2010

1776 Sporting Club held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the grand opening of their new store at 411 N. Jefferson Street.  The store will be open for business tomorrow with quality items for men in mind. Owner Brad Roberts will feature outdoor equipment, guns, and even quality cigars just in time for Christmas purchases.

1776 Sporting Club will be fully stocked with guns, knives, fishing gear, and much more. Roberts has received all the necessary permits from the ATF to sell guns and will also offer gun cleaning and knife sharpening. New and refurbished items will be available.

Roberts plans to work with the Boys and Girls Club offering fishing lessons to the members. He enjoys teaching children to fish and believes it is a way he can give back to his community. He is also serving on the Main Street Committee which is working to revitalize the downtown area of Huntington.

Regular store hours will be Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Monday. The store’s phone number is (260) 760-5388.
